Terms of service
Effective date: 3 December 2025
Business name: The Token Trove (ABN 88 493 635 923)
1. About these Terms
These Terms govern your access to our website, store and related services (the Services). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You warrant you are at least the age of majority in your state/territory and will keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Products & Descriptions
We aim to describe products accurately, but minor variations can occur. Images are illustrative. We may update or discontinue products at any time.
3.1 3D-Printed & Hand-Finished Items — Characteristics and Tolerances
Some items are manufactured via 3D printing and/or finished by hand. By purchasing those items you acknowledge:
-
Normal characteristics may include visible layer lines, slight surface texture, small support-removal marks in non-functional areas and batch colour variation.
-
Typical dimensional tolerance is ±0.5 mm unless the product page states otherwise.
-
We may make minor design tweaks (e.g., wall thickness/fillets) that don’t affect form/fit/function.
These characteristics are not faults. This does not limit your ACL rights if an item has a genuine defect or fails a consumer guarantee.
3.2 Custom & Made-to-Order Items
Certain items (including many 3D-printed accessories, colour variants or personalised parts) are made to order.
-
Change of mind: once production starts, change-of-mind cancellations/returns aren’t available (ACL rights preserved).
-
Your inputs: where you supply measurements/choices/specs, you are responsible for their accuracy; we manufacture to your approved specs.
3.3 Compatibility & Non-Affiliation
Our accessories are third-party compatibility products. The Token Trove is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any board-game publisher or rights holder referenced for compatibility. Third-party names, logos and trademarks remain their owners’ property and are used descriptively.
4. Pricing, Currency & Taxes
-
Currency & display. Prices default to AUD for Australian visitors. Overseas visitors may see local-currency displays for convenience. Unless a different checkout currency is clearly shown, payment is processed in AUD (your provider may apply FX/fees).
-
GST (Australia). For Australian deliveries, applicable GST is shown at checkout.
-
Taxes outside Australia. Some destinations require us/the platform to collect destination taxes at checkout; otherwise you are responsible for local taxes.
-
Duties, customs & brokerage. Unless stated otherwise in writing, international orders ship DAP (Delivered At Place, Incoterms® 2020). You are the importer of record and responsible for any duties, import taxes and clearance fees. If a parcel is refused or undeliverable, see Section 7.2.
-
Promotions by region. Discounts/promotions may vary by country/currency.
-
Refund currency/FX. Refunds go to the original payment method. If you paid in a non-AUD currency, amounts may differ due to exchange rates/fees outside our control. ACL rights unaffected.
-
Errors. We may correct pricing/listing errors and cancel affected orders with a full refund if charged.
5. Orders & Acceptance
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we confirm by email after payment is processed. If we can’t accept or must cancel (e.g., stock/listing error), we’ll refund you promptly. For 3D-printed/made-to-order items, your order authorises us to commence production to your selected options/specs.
6. Care & Use
Many printed parts are thermoplastics. Avoid prolonged heat exposure above 50 °C (e.g., hot cars/heaters), strong solvents, and excessive impact. Clean with a soft cloth and mild soapy water unless the product page says otherwise. Damage from improper care is not a defect (ACL rights preserved).
7. Shipping & Delivery
-
Where we ship. Australia-wide and selected international destinations shown at checkout.
-
Address accuracy. Check your address carefully. Returned parcels due to incorrect/incomplete addresses can be re-shipped (extra postage may apply) or refunded per our Returns Policy.
7.1 Australia (Domestic)
Delivery timeframes shown at checkout are estimates and may vary due to carrier workload, public holidays or events outside our control. If goods aren’t supplied within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to remedies under the ACL. Risk in goods passes on delivery. Inspect on arrival and contact us via the Contact page within 7 days if something’s wrong.
7.2 International
Unless stated otherwise in writing, international orders ship DAP – Delivered At Place. You are the importer of record and responsible for duties/taxes/brokerage on arrival. If you refuse to pay, refuse delivery, or the carrier can’t deliver (e.g., expired pickup window), the parcel may be returned or destroyed. If returned, we’ll refund the item price less original shipping, non-recoverable carrier/customs charges and reasonable processing costs. If destroyed by the carrier, refunds may not be available. Risk passes on delivery.
7.3 Pre-orders & 3D-print lead times
Pre-order dates and print queues are estimates and may shift. If timing changes materially, we’ll notify you and offer options (wait, substitute comparable materials, or refund).
7.4 Split shipments & tracking
We may split shipments at our discretion to speed delivery (no extra charge to you). Tracking details are provided where available.
8. Australian Consumer Law — Your Rights
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. For a major failure, you’re entitled to a refund or replacement. For minor failures, we’ll repair, replace or refund within a reasonable time. This section prevails over any inconsistent term in these Terms or our policies.
9. Returns & Refunds
Our Returns & Refunds Policy (incorporated by reference) explains change-of-mind returns, exclusions, the process for faulty/damaged goods, any restocking fee, and who pays return shipping. It operates in addition to your ACL rights.
10. Reviews, Feedback & User Content
If you submit reviews or feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use them for store operations and marketing. Don’t submit unlawful, infringing or misleading content.
11. Intellectual Property
Original designs, models and artwork created by The Token Trove are our IP. You must not copy, reproduce or commercially exploit our designs without written permission. If you supply artwork/briefs, you (a) warrant you own or are licensed to use them; and (b) grant us a licence to manufacture your order.
12. Prohibited Conduct
No unlawful, abusive, infringing, security-bypassing, scraping or spamming activity. Don’t interfere with site security or other users’ enjoyment of the Services.
13. Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers (e.g., Shopify, payment gateways, couriers). Their terms may apply to your use of those services.
14. Warranties & Liability (subject to ACL)
The Services are provided “as available”. We do not exclude or limit rights or remedies under the ACL. To the extent permitted by law and subject to the ACL, our liability for non-excludable obligations is limited to the remedies in s 64A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (e.g., resupplying services or paying the cost of resupply).
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes. Your ACL rights are unaffected.
16. Governing Law & Venue (Victoria)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, including the Australian Consumer Law as applied by the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 (Vic). You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and, where applicable, VCAT. Nothing in these Terms limits your ACL rights.
17. Electronic Communications
You consent to receive communications and enter contracts with us electronically in accordance with the Electronic Transactions (Victoria) Act 2000. You can withdraw consent via the Contact page; some Services may then be unavailable.
18. Severability
If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it is severed and the remainder continues in effect.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms and any policies/notices referenced here constitute the entire agreement between you and us for the Services and replace any prior terms about the Services.
20. Contact
For help, returns or warranty requests, please use our Contact page. We typically respond within 1–2 business days (AET). We’ll provide any return address after an RMA is approved.
